Circus Arts
One of my favorite things to do when I'm not at work or school is indulge in the wicked weird world of circus arts. The Austin circus community has become a second family to me. I love learning new progressions and flows that not only increase strength and discipline but are also just beautiful to look at. My current hobbies include fire spinning, hooping, acrobatic yoga, staff, and trapeze but one day I hope to expand my abilities to silks and lyra. They have yet to sell me on juggling.
Yoga
I have been practicing yoga since before I can remember. I was probably exposed to it in utero knowing my mother. Yoga means union; it is the connection between mind body and spirit that somehow keeps my head on straight in this strange and exciting existence. Currently I'm in the Yoga Illumined program at Castle Hill Fitness getting my 200-hour Hatha certification. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn under Zoe and Sumukhi and I cannot wait to spread healing and harmony in my own teaching endeavors.

Communication arTS
The love for language runs in family. Weather it be journalism, theater, creative writing, film, or visual arts; I'm enthralled. All of my immediate family is gifted in writing although our styles are very different. I'm not sure how my writing is going to impact my future plans but I'm sure it will be a strong factor in whatever it is I choose to do.
Environment
"The marks humans leave are too often scars."
I believe in the principal of living lightly. I've always had a deep concern for the welfare of our earth. When I was 12 or 13 I started at a summer job where I worked with the city doing manual labor and a lo of landscaping. It was then when I realized how much more i enjoyed working with plants than with people. I loved beautifying and purifying my surroundings and learning about gardening, landscaping, and biology even in 100 degree heat. So then the seed was planted and it sprouted many different branches, one being volunteering with the food is free project a organization dedicated to producing free locally grown produce for neighborhoods across austin. And another being the horticulture class at garza which gave me the knowledge and resources to continue working in this field, no pun intended.
